AL Sophomore JoAnn Hacker selected as a member of the Statewide Broadband Council
JoAnn Hacker, a sophomore at Abraham Lincoln High School, and nine other high students from across the state were selected to serve on the Iowa Communications Network’s (ICN) Statewide Youth Broadband Advisory Council for the 2020-21 school year.
The council offers high school students a unique opportunity to research and discuss broadband and Internet topics, learn about Iowa technology companies, and discover technology careers. Throughout the school year, students will meet with the ICN Leadership and hear directly from leaders of Iowa technology companies.
The Council’s focus is about receiving information and feedback from students, who will serve as broadband ambassadors. To keep updated on the student initiatives visit https://icn.iowa.gov/sybac.
