Veridian Credit Union gave students at two Council Bluffs Schools an early holiday gift. Eighty-five families from Roosevelt Elementary and Wilson Middle School will have their meal account charges paid off, thanks to Veridan’s generous donation of $2,629.64 to the Nutrition Services Department. This will cover meal account charges that have been on student accounts since before the free meal program was launched. Veridian is Roosevelt’s partner for the in-school credit union.
“We are very appreciative of the gift from Veridian,” said Lisa Stewart, director of nutrition services. “Having these debts paid will allow families to determine what other necessities their families need.”
