Student Safety is Top Priority

In light of this recent tragedy in Parkland, Florida, we want parents to know that the safety of our students and everyone in our buildings is a top priority.

We are grateful for our partnerships with the Council Bluffs and Carter Lake Police Departments, the Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Department and with our school resource officers, who work closely with us to be diligent and in tune with individuals to help our students learn in a safe environment.

We encourage students to tell an adult if they see something out of the ordinary on social media or in person. Students should not feel intimidated or embarrassed by sharing concerns. Parents are also encouraged to talk to your children as appropriate to let them know they can share their concerns with you as well.

Please visit our page dedicated to Safety & Security, and contact a school administrator with any questions or concerns.
