Parent-Teacher Direct Messaging

Communication between home and school is important in the partnership for student success. The Council Bluffs Schools app now provides the newest way for parents and guardians to connect directly with teachers, coaches and activity sponsors. Available on the Android and Apple app stores, just search for “Council Bluffs Comm Schools” to find, download and install the app on your smartphone or tablet.

The app provides your school calendar, news and resources all in one place, placing information you need at your fingertips.

New this year, the app also lets you send direct messages to your child’s teachers, providing a safe, easy alternative when email or phone calls are not convenient. Teachers can then respond directly to your message within the app.

By logging in with your email address on file with the school district, parents can connect with teachers and coaches by sending two-way messages within the Chat platform.

Other school notifications are also available through the app, while the district and school will continue to communicate with parents through voicemail, email and text. These notifications include emergency messages plus reminders and attendance notifications.

Get Connected in 4 Easy Steps for Parents/Guardians!

1. Download the app to your phone or tablet through the Google Play Store or App Store

2. Log in using your parent email as your Username and then tapping Forgot Password, which will prompt you to check your email for a link.

3. Follow the prompts to set up your app profile and Allow Notifications.

4.  Click on the Chats bubble at the bottom of the app screen to access your child's classrooms and initiate a Direct Message with a Classroom Teacher.
