The Tucker Career and College Center provides opportunities to students from the Council Bluffs local high schools and surrounding areas. Students can take advantage of our hands-on learning culture while receiving advanced training in a variety of career areas. Tucker Center programs are available to 10th, 11th, & 12th grade students, while introductory level courses are available to 9th grade students at their regular high school. Students may attend Tucker Center for a portion of their regular daily schedule. The student’s enrollment remains at their home high school and students continue all extra curricular activities through their home high school. Optional transportation for students is provided between CB Highs Schools and the Tucker Center by the district.
Programs offered at the Tucker Center include: Digital Imaging, Digital Drawing, Photography, Sports & Entertainment Broadcasting, Health Science Academy, Hospitality & Culinary Arts, Automotive Technology, Fabrication, Welding Engineering. All programs are state CTE approved courses that fulfill certain graduation requirements. An additional benefit is the concurrent enrollment credit opportunities through Iowa Western Community College. As part of the Council Bluffs Community School District we focus on providing quality educational opportunities for our students.
