• At the Council Bluffs Community School District, we take pride in our commitment to serving locally grown produce to our students. Local produce to us means produce grown in Iowa and Nebraska, and we work closely with our local farmers to ensure that our students have access to fresh, healthy food options. We believe that supporting our local farmers not only benefits our students but also helps our community thrive. Keep an eye out for *** on your school lunch menu indicating that an item is a locally grown food and experience the taste of freshness!
    • Council Bluffs Schools was a recipient of the Local Food for School Grant (LFS Grant) in 2022-2023. A progress report is now available for the state of Iowa that highlights last years program. We have also been awarded funds for the 2023-2024 school year to be used for local produce and protein options.
