Dear Parents and Guardians,
On behalf of the Kirn Middle School teachers and staff, I want to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! We look forward to partnering with you to help your student #AchieveMore. We know that children are most successful when they receive support from both home and school. As partners with you in your student’s education, we will do our very best to meet our responsibilities to see that he/she succeeds. We ask that you support your student’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
-
Attends school daily.
-
Prepares to learn everyday, including a chromebook charging routine.
-
Gets plenty of sleep.
-
Talks to you about what he/she is learning in class; letting you know when additional support is needed.
-
Interacts respectfully and kindly with his/her teachers and peers.
Through implementing and living #theLYNXway, engaging students in their learning, promoting kindness in all aspects of our school, and providing a safe school, both physically and emotionally, we will provide an exceptional experience for your student. We will continue to help all students embody the traits of the IB Learner Profile, provide opportunities for student agency, and help develop your student into the best version of him/herself. We want all students to leave Kirn as better people ready to succeed, and our work starts now!
As the principal of Kirn Middle School, I am incredibly excited to travel this journey with you. I recognize the unique experience of the middle school years and can assure you we will continue to support your student in every aspect possible. Included in this mailing is some additional information regarding upcoming events and protocols for the new year.
Again, on behalf of the Kirn Middle School teachers and staff, I welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year!
Sincerely,
Amanda Jens
Principal, Kirn Middle School
