Transition Alliance Program (TAP)
The Transition Alliance Program (TAP) is a partnership between Council Bluffs Community School District (CBCSD) and Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS). TAP students have access to year-round assistance in the areas of job exploration counseling, self-advocacy instruction, workplace readiness training, work-based learning opportunities and counseling on opportunities.
TAP provides services to young adults between the ages of 16 and 25 who are: current students or graduates of the Council Bluffs School District, are potentially eligible for Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation, and are underemployed or unemployed. Once employed, enrolled in higher education or training program TAP provides follow-up services to assure long-term success.
TAP helps young people develop positive work skills in order to obtain and maintain employment. An example of an activity available to students through TAP is the Council Bluffs Reverse Job Fair.
There are Transition Alliance Programs across the State of Iowa to assist youth in transition. For more information visit the Transition Alliance Program website by clicking this link.
