Student Photo  Grace Veit, a student at Kirn Middle School, was named the KVNO Classical Kid for the month of February. Grace plays the oboe, and as part of her prize, she won a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation to help further her musical education along with other gifts from KVNO. KVNO is the only full-time classical music radio station in the metro area and serves the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro and beyond. The station honors a student from the area each month who composes, performs or sings classical music as part of the Classical Kid program and features a Classical Kid Showcase each year where winners from the past year show off their talent. You can view the 2020 virtual showcase and nominate a Classical kid at KVNO.org. Congratulations to Grace Veit, the KVNO Classical Kid for February!

The Care and Share House needs our help! Your contributions go directly to the organization to be able to purchase the necessary food for the food pantry. They are able to purchase items at a much discounted rate for people who need the rate. Keep those pennies coming. Remember you can sabotage other teams by putting nickels, dimes and quarters and cash into their buckets. Two years ago we raised $1200 for the Care and Share house which allowed them to go to the Omaha Food Bank and purchase much needed food for people in our city who need the help.
