• The Council Bluffs Community School District desires to provide all students with a foundation of Physical Education and Health skills through courses that are aligned with SHAPE America National Physical Education Standards and National Health Education Standards.

These standards-based courses develop individuals with various interests and abilities into physically literate people by improving students’ physical fitness and developing students’ understanding of how to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle. Students will understand the importance of being physically active and practicing health-enhancing behaviors to develop a sense of well-being and become healthy, confident lifelong movers.
