TJHS Students Lead Effort to Win Midwest “Get Schooled” Fall Attendance Challenge

TJ Attendance signsThomas Jefferson High School has been recognized as a leader in promoting school attendance and promoting student achievement!  A group of students stepped up to lead an effort to win the Midwest Region (and 7th place in the Nation) in the “Get Schooled” Fall Attendance Challenge, sponsored by the national non-profit “founded on the belief that students themselves have the power to improve their future if given the right information and motivation. We leverage the key influences in teens’ lives to directly engage them on their path through high school and into college.”  For this achievement, the school will receive $5,000. A special celebration/rally in honor of this recognition will be scheduled at the school in the near future.
