img_1845Child Growth & Development students are job shadowing in our district elementary schools.  They observe, assist, and build relationships at their job shadowing site on Wednesday and share their experiences and discuss learning opportunities on Thursday in their classroom at Tucker Center.

The Culinary students continue with their Work Based Learning Experience at Micah House.  Everyone is learning a lot, accomplishing many tasks and making a difference in the lives of the employees as well as the families residing at that facility.

Public Speaking is in full speech mode.  With every speech, students are learning better techniques and skills that will carry with them through their life!

CNA starts clinicals this week.  They will be in the nursing facility using the skills they developed and rehearsed in the classroom and the health lab.

Health Science 1-2 students are starting 1st Aid this week and CPR next week as well as continuing their job shadowing at Mercy Hospital.  Health Science 3-4 students are reinforcing their medical terms while they study different systems in the body.

Digital Drawing students are enjoying the new drawing pads!  They are awesome and are a standard in work places!  Digital photography continues to dive into the technical aspects of taking photos and the settings and capabilities the camera offers.  Be looking for our Sports & Entertainment Broadcasting students at upcoming basketball games!  They are putting their skills to work!

Auto Tech 1-2 is out in the shop, putting the skills learned in the classroom to the vehicles in the shop.  The Fabrication, Welding Engineering class has been thoroughly enjoying this new class and all the cool tools they are using to make some fantastic projects and other practical use of the different types of welders.
