I am grateful for the insights shared during my first 100 days and look forward to making progress on six goals.

Job Shadowing for Trimester 1

As the end of Trimester 1 is on the horizon, our job shadowing students are finishing up their final days in the community and our district schools.

Job shadowing is a wonderful opportunity our students have to use the skills they have learned in the classroom and carry that over to “real world” experiences.  Working side by side with adults in the industry gives them the observation in learning and opportunity to ask questions that put our students in the driver’s seat for future college classes and careers.

The next time you talk with someone that is in or has been in Health Science, Foundations of Education (formerly known as Exploring Teaching), Early Childhood Education and Quality and Quantity Foods classes, ask them how the job shadowing changed their outlook on a career.
