Help Support the PTO with the Red Wheel Fundraiser

Hello Crescent Families!

You should have received your Red Wheel Form last week. We are selling pies, cookie dough, burritos and more frozen items until November 6th. You need to collect the money at the time of ordering. Please ask your friends, family, co-workers, and anyone who likes helping schools. We will use this money to fund all of our activities for the rest of the year. If you don’t want to order for yourself please still participate and ask others. Every little bit counts!
A lot of people love the Red Wheel products but you can’t get them anywhere else unless it is for a fundraiser for a group.
The orders will be distributed after school on November 21st on the back drive by the Kids and Co. entrance to the gym. Orders MUST be picked up that day.

PRIZES:
For every 13 items you sell you will receive a FREE box of chocolate chip cookie dough!

TOP 3 Sellers prize: (by dollar amount (siblings will have their orders added together) and NOT number of items sold)

1st place = $50
2nd place = $30
3rd place = $15

The PTO needs help and would appreciate any monetary (fundraiser purchase), volunteer time, or share a talent to help the school, that any family can share. We don’t exclude any kids and we need parents to help just as much. It seems like we have the same parents helping and we need some others to share in the opportunity.

Crescent Grades 4/5 Host Math Power Hour

Mr. Tellgren’s class hosted their parents and guests to a Math Power Hour today from 11:30-12:30 PM.  Parents were encouraged to come to the school with a lunch for themselves and their student.  While enjoying their lunch, the students provided demonstrations to their guests on everything they have been doing so far this year in math.  There was great participation and a lot of thinking going on!  If you were not able to make it to this first Power Hour, don’t worry!  Mr. Tellgren plans to schedule more as the year progresses!

2015-16 Crescent Elementary Perfect Attendance

Every month at Crescent Elementary we reward students who have achieved perfect attendance.  They are recognized in their classroom, provided a free meal certificate and sometimes we get their pictures posted.  It’s a great source of pride for these students.  Every month every student has the opportunity to start fresh to attempt perfect attendance for the following month.

Do you know what is even sweeter?

Making it to school EVERY DAY, not late once, not absent at all, not checked out early the ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR!  That’s being present – every day, all day.

We had four Roadrunners who attained Perfect Attendance for the 2015-2016 school year!  Simply awesome.  What an accomplishment!

2016 Crescent Promise to Succeed Ceremony

We had an awesome Promise to Succeed ceremony at Crescent Elementary Friday afternoon.  A new annual tradition was started inviting the current Class of 2016 former Crescent students to participate in our ceremony with a Senior Walk.  The graduates were treated to signs and high fives by the entire school as they led the procession into the gym for the ceremony.  It was an awesome experience – gave some of us goosebumps as we watched and participated!

Following the Class of 2016 is the 5th grade class…..

We also had a full house of parents, school officials and staff to witness the 5th graders pledge their promise to succeed – starting with high school graduation. It was a wonderful ceremony!
