Welcome to the 2017-18 School Year!

New Student Registration Dates and Times:
Elementary Schools: August 9th from 11 am – 7 pm
Middle Schools: August 15th from 11 am – 7 pm
Abraham Lincoln High School: August 9th from 12 – 7 pm and August 10th from 11 am – 6 pm
Thomas Jefferson High School: August 9th from 12 – 7 pm and August 10th from 10 am – 5 pm

 

Back to School Nights:
Elementary Schools: August 22nd from 4-6 pm
Middle Schools: August 23rd from 5:30-7 pm
High Schools: August 23rd from 6- 7pm

 

First Day of School (K-12):  August 24th
First Day of School (Preschool):  August 29th

 

School Hours:
All Council Bluffs Community School District students are dismissed early each Monday for faculty and staff to participate in professional development sessions.

Elementary School hours:
Monday: 8:55 a.m. – 2:05 p.m.
Tuesday-Friday 8:55 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Middle School hours:
Monday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.
Tuesday-Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

High School hours:
Monday: 8:10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday-Friday 8:10 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.

 

Does your child have the required immunizations to begin school?

NEW THIS YEAR:  

All students entering 12th grade must have Meningococcal vaccine before school begins on August 24th.  There will be no grace/extension period for students to meet this requirement. Please make sure your child is not excluded from school.  Provide to the school office the paperwork showing the vaccine has been received.

All students entering 7th grade to have both a Meningococcal vaccine and a Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis/whopping cough) booster shot before school starts next school year. There will be no grace/extension period for students to meet this requirement. Please make sure your child is not excluded from school.  Provide to the school office the paperwork showing the vaccine has been received.
