NUTRITION  EDUCATION

  
Council Bluffs Community Schools, Nutrition Services Department has provided nutrition education through an Iowa Public Health Grant called BASICS for the past seven years.  A Registered Dietitian has been going to classrooms in eleven elementary buildings and teaching students about their health and nutrition.  Monthly newsletters are sent home with students, nutrition tips are on menus, and activities are given to teachers to emphasize good nutrition.
