This year, the CEF received forty-six applications from teachers requesting $21,679.69 to fund their creative and innovative application projects.
CEF executive director Fernando “Butch” Lecuona said “We are excited to be able to fund twenty-four grant applications this year.” The grants are competitive and made available to teachers to provide innovative classroom projects for students of the district that are not funded by the district.
Grant applications were reviewed by a three member Review Team who made the decision to fund twenty-four projects that will serve 3,098 students in the district for a total of $11,371.43. Lecuona said that “the Foundation will continue to work to raise additional financial resources for next year’s competition."
