Thomas Jefferson wrestling coach August Manz advances into the final public voting round of the U.S. Cellular’s “Most Valuable Coach” contest.

After being selected by a panel of judges, August Manz was recognized as one of the “Top 50 Coaches” across the nation and moved into the first public voting round. In order to be selected as a “Top 50 Coach” judges evaluated the essays based on the nominee’s community impact, school impact, leadership impact, and representation of sponsor’s licensed markets.

The first public voting which took place from September 19 to October 9 determined the “Final 15 Coaches.” As part of being recognized as a “Final 15 Coach” Thomas Jefferson High School will receive a $5,000 donation from U.S. Cellular and an assembly will be held to honor the work Coach Manz does for his school and community.

Public voting to help determine the Grand Prize winner from among that “Final 15 Coaches” has already begun, but you can vote once per day until 11:59 p.m. CT on November 14 at TheMostValuableCoach.com.
